Director of Allied Health Services

About the role

The Board of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) seeks a visionary leader to head its Allied Health Services. Reporting to senior management, the Director will shape strategy, oversee operations, and drive excellence across all allied health disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and guide the development of short‑, medium‑, and long‑term plans and budgets for Allied Health Services.
• Develop and implement governance, infection‑control, and quality‑assurance systems.
• Support, monitor, and evaluate programs and projects to enhance clinical care effectiveness.
• Design systems for reviewing interventions, financing, and resource allocation.
• Lead the development and management of clinical information systems.
• Implement sustainable clinical‑care field programs.
• Supervise technical support for Allied Health activities and partner implementations.
• Ensure robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks are applied.
• Achieve strategic goals through strong leadership and management of the Allied Health portfolio.

Required profile

• Proven leadership ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Broad knowledge of health policies, operating procedures, and quality‑assurance issues.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Capacity to work independently, handle pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong problem‑solving, advocacy, and negotiation capabilities.
• Proficiency in report writing and solid computer literacy.
• Self‑discipline, emotional stability, conflict‑management skills, and a methodological approach.
• Goal‑oriented and honest disposition.
