About the role
The University of Ghana seeks a senior leader to head its Institutional Advancement Directorate, reporting directly to the Vice‑Chancellor. The role focuses on building alumni, industry and community relationships, fundraising, and enhancing the university’s public image.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to raise funds and secure strategic partnerships for university growth.
- Promote the university’s goodwill in collaboration with the Public Affairs Directorate.
- Establish and maintain strong relations with alumni, industry, and the business community.
- Provide input for the UG Strategic Plan and future strategic initiatives.
- Maximise donor support and ensure a positive institutional image.
Required profile
- First and advanced degrees with at least 12 years of progressively responsible management experience, preferably in higher education.
- Strong strategic, interpersonal and collegial skills for the higher‑education sector.
- High‑level analytical ability and demonstrated leadership competence.
