Electrical Technician (MV) – Surface Mine Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and self‑motivated Electrical Technician (MV) to join our Surface Mine Infrastructure team. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor (HV), you will be responsible for executing high‑voltage plant electrical maintenance and refurbishment across the mine’s power systems.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all work complies with Ghana government agencies, environmental, health & safety legislation and AGAG regulations.
• Interface with contractors and construction teams to coordinate mechanical and electrical refurbishment tasks.
• Perform daily pre‑start checks of equipment and tools, and report any anomalies.
• Execute maintenance on HV distribution, transformers, HV motors and generator sets, following safe work procedures.
• Provide data to the Maintenance Planner and close work orders in SAP upon task completion.

Required profile

• Secondary education level with a recognised HV electrical trade apprenticeship certificate (e.g., City & Guilds).
• Minimum five (5) years post‑apprenticeship experience in a high‑voltage industrial environment.
• Familiarity with Ghana Minerals and Mining (Health, Safety and Technical) Regulations.
• Fully literate, numerate and competent in electrical trade practices.
