Emergency Medical Technician for Ghana Armed Forces Medical Services

About the role

The Ghana Armed Forces Medical Services (GAFMS) is seeking experienced Emergency Medical Technicians to join its state‑of‑the‑art medical facilities. The position will be based in the 37 Military Hospital and medical centres across Accra, Kumasi, Sunyani, Takoradi, Ho, Tema and Tamale. Successful candidates will respond to emergency calls and deliver life‑saving care.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls throughout the assigned regions.
• Provide basic and advanced life support to patients in emergency settings.
• Operate within the 37 Military Hospital and affiliated medical centres across multiple cities.

Required profile

• Emergency Medical Technician Advanced Diploma or Certificate from a recognised institution.
• Evidence of working experience in a recognised health facility.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Life Support (ALS).

Application process

Applicants must complete the Initial Data Form in their own handwriting and attach photocopies of birth/baptismal certificates, educational/professional certificates, four recent passport photographs and a small‑size EMS prepaid envelope. The envelope, obtainable from designated post offices for a fee of GH₵20, should be used for special delivery to the Director of Manpower Planning at Ghana Armed Forces Headquarters, Burma Camp, Accra.
