Engine Workshop Technician – Level III

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Engine Workshop Technician – Level III to join our Rebuild Workshop Department in Accra. You will be responsible for delivering accurate diagnostics, repairs, overhauls and rebuilds on a range of engine products, ensuring compliance with OEM specifications and minimizing downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform first‑time‑right diagnostics, repairs, overhauls and rebuilds on multiple engine types.
• Troubleshoot moderately complex engine issues using service manuals, build packs, documented procedures and digital service systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance based on thorough engine condition assessments to improve asset reliability.
• Coach and mentor less‑experienced technicians and apprentices, strengthening workshop capability.
• Review repair plans, parts lists and work execution to meet standard repair times.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, including work records, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms.
• Uphold Health, Safety & Environmental policies, promoting a safe and clean work environment.
• Provide field support, travelling to customer sites when required while representing the business professionally.

Required profile

• Strong diagnostic capability to translate customer concerns into effective troubleshooting plans.
• Proficiency with electronic service tools and diagnostic software.
• Solid understanding of engine system interactions, both electrical and mechanical.
• Ability to complete quality repairs within standard repair times and maintain accurate documentation.
• Mechanical or electro‑mechanical technical training, vocational diploma, and a valid driver’s license.
• Good safety awareness, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
