English Teacher

About the role

The school in Abuakwa‑Tanoso is seeking a full‑time English Teacher to deliver engaging, student‑centered lessons in Kumasi. You will work on‑site, following the school’s curriculum and supporting learners of varying abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver English lessons covering reading, writing, speaking and listening.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a supportive learning environment.
• Prepare teaching materials and adapt resources for diverse learners.
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians and colleagues about student development.
• Participate in staff meetings, school events and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Strong English teaching ability with experience guiding learners at different levels.
• Solid lesson‑planning skills and experience designing engaging activities.
• Background in education, knowledge of pedagogy and classroom management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Relevant teaching certification or diploma in Education or English and prior classroom experience.
• Ability to use basic educational technology, patience and cultural sensitivity.
