Factory Manager – Rigid Packaging

About the role

The Factory Manager will lead the rigid packaging plant, overseeing production of PET preforms, closers, IML, thinwall, blow gallons, crates and offset printing. The role ensures safe, efficient, and cost‑effective operations while meeting quality and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily factory operations and production activities.
• Develop and implement production schedules to meet business targets.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Manage factory staff, including supervisors, technicians and production workers.
• Monitor performance, drive efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate maintenance, preventive and predictive programmes for machinery.
• Manage raw material inventory and production resources.
• Prepare production reports and performance metrics for senior management.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics and quality control teams.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Lead internal and external audits and ensure ISO/GMP/HACCP compliance.

Required profile

• Executive‑level experience (minimum 10 years) in manufacturing or packaging.
• Proven leadership of cross‑functional production teams.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental and industry certification requirements.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and audit processes.
• Ability to manage staff development, training and performance.
