Farm Manager – Turmeric Production

About the role

Farmerline is seeking an experienced Farm Manager to lead and expand its Turmeric production project in the Ashanti and Volta regions of Ghana. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from land selection and farmer engagement to partnership development and performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute all farm activities, including land preparation, planting, irrigation, weeding, fertilisation and pest management.
• Ensure efficient use of farm resources such as water, fertilisers and labour.
• Supervise farm staff and coordinate with outgrower farmers.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with outgrowers, local stakeholders and other partners.
• Monitor crop performance, achieve yield and quality targets, and produce regular reports.
• Implement sustainable agriculture and soil‑conservation practices.

Required profile

• Proven track record in Turmeric production or a similar high‑value crop.
• Experience managing large‑scale farm operations and farmer networks.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable agriculture and soil‑conservation techniques.
• Ability to train, motivate and supervise farm staff and outgrowers.
• Excellent organisational and reporting skills.
