Field Officer

About the role
The Field Officer will support the implementation of the Sustainability Management Services (SMS) programme in the designated district of Ofoase. Working closely with the Regional Manager and Field Trainers, the officer will help drive agricultural productivity and rural prosperity among cocoa farmers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop the district’s annual work plan aligned with SMS objectives.
- Supervise farmer‑focused programmes such as Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA) and additional livelihood initiatives.
- Coordinate and oversee all certification and annual audit activities within the district.
- Organise and deliver training sessions for producers.
- Manage and assess a team of Field Trainers, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with Ministry of Food and Agriculture officers, research institutions, franchise holders and other stakeholders.
- Prepare weekly progress reports and ensure the security of company assets.
Required profile
- Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Business, Economics, Development or a related field.
- Certificate in Agriculture is desirable.
- Fluency in English and the local language(s) of the district.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently in a field environment.
