Field Officer

About the role

Sustainability Management Services (SMS), a member of ECOM Agro‑industrial Corp., is looking for a self‑motivated Field Officer to support the implementation of its programme in the Ofoase district of Ghana.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the district’s annual work plan.
• Supervise farmer‑specialised programmes such as VSLA and additional livelihood projects.
• Oversee the district’s annual certification audit.
• Coordinate all training activities for producers.
• Manage and support a team of Field Trainers in the district.
• Assist and assess Field Trainers as required.
• Support Farm Supervisors and collaborate with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture technical officers and research institutions.
• Maintain relationships with district franchise holders and other key stakeholders.
• Prepare weekly reports and ensure care and security of company assets.
• Undertake any other activities assigned within the scope of the Field Officer role.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Business, Economics or Development, or a certificate in Agriculture.
• Fluency in English and local languages.
• Ability to work independently and supervise teams.
• Willingness to travel within the designated district.
