Finance and Administration Manager – Ghana Malaria Activity

About the role

The Finance and Administration Manager will lead all financial reporting, procurement, logistics, human resources and administrative operations for the Ghana Malaria Activity, reporting to the Chief of Party. This 12‑month fixed‑term position supports malaria vector control and HIV/AIDS services across Ghana.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise procurement, accounting and HR staff; ensure compliance with USG and Abt policies.
• Manage project bank accounts, cash flow, month‑end closes and payroll.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial reports; identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Oversee procurement planning, vendor management and timely delivery of goods.
• Coordinate audits, subcontractor agreements and logistics support for field activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience managing finance and contracts for international development projects, preferably USG‑funded.
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills; ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint.
• Knowledge of US Government Cost Accounting Standards.
• Procurement, logistics and supply‑chain management expertise.
