Finance Director – Manufacturing

About the role

The Finance Director will lead the finance and administration functions of a leading manufacturing company in Accra. Reporting to senior management, the role is responsible for shaping financial strategy, ensuring robust controls and supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an integrated financial system and operational plan.
• Design financial structures and strategies to improve efficiency.
• Implement and monitor internal control systems.
• Continuously review the company’s financial position.
• Develop a treasury function and manage cash flow.
• Create and maintain budgeting and long‑term planning processes.
• Secure appropriate insurance coverage for company assets.
• Supervise statutory record keeping and compliance.
• Develop, operate and maintain an efficient procurement system.
• Oversee stores management to protect raw material assets.

Required profile

• Qualified ACCA, CIMA, CA or CPA.
• University degree majoring in Accounting or Finance.
• At least ten years of post‑qualification experience, including five years in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA, CPA).
