Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the finance and accounting function for a mining supply and engineering company in Ghana. Reporting directly to the President, the role oversees a finance team, ensures accurate financial records, strengthens internal controls, and provides timely management reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the full finance and accounting team and daily finance operations.
• Prepare, review and post invoices, bills, accounts payable and receivable.
• Manage cash flow planning, working capital, banking activities and foreign currency transactions.
• Coordinate supplier payments, customer collections, international payments, letters of credit and bank guarantees.
• Produce monthly MIS reports, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow, ageing analyses and budget variance reports.
• Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts and monitor monthly budgeting tasks.
• Perform bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance and expense processing.
• Oversee payroll processing, accruals, pre‑payments and year‑end analysis.
• Handle inventory accounting, costing, landed‑cost calculations and project‑based accounting.
• Enter and review financial data in Tally and ERP systems.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, tax filings, statutory compliance and year‑end finalisation.
• Strengthen internal controls for payments, receipts, banking, inventory and approvals.

Required profile

• Minimum 20+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a mining or engineering environment.
• Proven ability to lead a finance team and interact with senior management.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
