Full-time Tutor (National Service) – Accra & Tema

About the role

The Tutor (National Service) will provide structured academic support to students in Accra and Tema. This full‑time, on‑site position involves delivering lessons, tutorials, and study guidance aligned with curriculum goals while fostering effective study habits.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare learning materials and explain key concepts to diverse learners.
• Review assignments and support students in developing effective study habits.
• Organize small‑group and one‑on‑one tutoring sessions.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve learning outcomes.
• Participate in mentorship activities and provide feedback to program coordinators and families.
• Support educational tours or workshops, reinforcing academic content through practical experiences.

Required profile

• Strong subject‑matter knowledge in relevant school curriculum areas.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Education.
• Eligibility for National Service (NSS) participation.
• Ability to mentor students and guide study skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Lesson planning and instructional delivery.
• Academic coaching for individuals and small groups.
• Proficiency with basic digital tools (word processing, presentation software, online research).
