General Manager – IT Delivery

About the role

The General Manager – IT Delivery will lead MTN Ghana’s end‑to‑end technology delivery, aligning business demand with enterprise priorities and ensuring timely, cost‑effective implementation of digital solutions. This senior position reports to the Chief Information Officer and drives strategic transformation across platform engineering, architecture, and software development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of MTN Ghana’s technology and digital transformation portfolio, managing demand, governance, prioritisation and value realisation.
• Provide leadership for software engineering, platform engineering and enterprise technology delivery, championing DevSecOps, automation and AI‑enabled practices.
• Implement and optimise an agile operating model based on Tribes, Chapters and Scrum teams, fostering cross‑functional collaboration.
• Ensure delivery complies with security, compliance, risk and operational‑resilience standards, overseeing governance frameworks and readiness.
• Build and lead a high‑performing technology delivery organisation, partnering with business leaders, vendors and stakeholders to enhance customer experience.

Required profile

• First degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business or a related discipline.
• Post‑graduate qualification, preferably an MBA or a technology‑related master’s degree.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive technology experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven accountability for complex, enterprise‑scale technology portfolios and successful digital delivery.
