Hardware Technician (Mining Systems)

About the role

The Hardware Technician will provide both on‑site and remote support for Hexagon’s mining systems. You will deploy new and upgraded hardware at customer mine sites, perform basic troubleshooting, and configure system software and operating systems to meet client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Define and review project proposals and plans with customers and internal teams.
• Execute project phases, load configurations, upgrades and operating systems onto field equipment and servers following change‑management procedures.
• Maintain project schedules, monitor progress, coordinate activities and resolve issues.
• Administer service agreements and keep an up‑to‑date database of deployed systems and configurations.
• Serve as escalation point for technical issues beyond the scope of Project Engineers.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure deployments are on time and within budget.
• Identify business risks, inefficiencies and opportunities related to hardware applications.

Required profile

• Strong high‑level knowledge of mining hardware systems.
• Ability to work independently on site and provide remote support.
• Experience in preparing cost estimates and technical documentation.
• Good communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.
