Hardware Technician – Mining Systems Support

About the role

The Hardware Technician will provide on‑site and remote support for Hexagon’s mining hardware solutions. You will deploy new and upgraded systems at customer mine sites, perform basic troubleshooting, configure software and operating systems, and develop procedures and reports to meet client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Define and review project proposals and plans with customers and internal teams.
• Execute deployments, including loading configurations, upgrades and operating systems onto field and server equipment following change‑management procedures.
• Maintain project schedules, monitor progress and coordinate activities to ensure timely, on‑budget delivery.
• Administer service agreements and keep an up‑to‑date database of deployed systems and configurations.
• Serve as escalation point for technical issues beyond the scope of project engineers.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to optimise deployment efficiency.
• Identify business risks, inefficiencies and opportunities related to hardware applications.

Required profile

• Strong high‑level knowledge of mining hardware systems.
• Ability to work independently on site and remotely.
• Experience collaborating with project managers and engineering teams.
• Attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
