Health and Safety Officer – Construction Site

About the role
We are looking for a detail‑oriented Health and Safety Officer to lead safety initiatives on a busy construction site. The successful candidate will ensure that all activities comply with health, safety and environmental regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture among all personnel.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce safety standards across the construction site.
- Conduct regular inspections and comprehensive risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents, prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Deliver safety training sessions and toolbox talks to staff.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
- Relevant certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or OSHA (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar health and safety role.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
