Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Mining & Construction

About the role

The company is seeking a full‑time Heavy Equipment Mechanic to work on‑site in Kumasi. You will be responsible for keeping mining and earth‑moving machinery operating at peak performance, reducing downtime and ensuring safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on engines, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes and undercarriage.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Carry out component replacements and complete overhauls as required.
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate service records.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to meet deadlines and uphold strict safety protocols.

Required profile

• Technical diploma, certificate or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Technology or a related field.
• Experience working with heavy mining or construction machinery in a safety‑critical environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
