Housekeeper & Waiter (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable individual to join our team at Hans Cottage, handling both housekeeping and wait‑staff duties. The role is full‑time and based on‑site in the Central Region of Ghana, supporting the smooth operation of our guest rooms and restaurant.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum and polish floors; dust and wipe furniture and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, windows, mirrors and other designated areas.
• Make beds, change linens, and manage laundry – washing, drying, ironing and folding.
• Maintain inventory of linens and housekeeping supplies and report shortages.
• Greet guests, present menus, take food and beverage orders and serve them promptly.
• Communicate orders to kitchen and bar staff, clear and reset tables, and prepare bills.
• Process payments using cash or POS systems and balance receipts.
• Uphold food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards throughout the dining area.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards and any guest concerns.

Required profile

• Previous experience in housekeeping or food service is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning and serving tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time‑management and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and use of cleaning chemicals.
• Operation of POS (point‑of‑sale) systems for payment processing.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
