Human Resource Officer – School Based

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated Human Resource Officer to manage the full employee lifecycle within an educational environment. You will work closely with school leadership to ensure HR practices align with regulatory standards and foster a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and exit processes for all staff.
• Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures in line with school and labour regulations.
• Maintain accurate staff records and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
• Coordinate performance appraisals, professional development, and staff training programs.
• Handle employee relations matters confidentially and professionally.
• Support payroll administration and staff welfare initiatives.
• Advise school leadership on workforce planning and HR best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of HR experience, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian labour laws and HR best practices.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with HR information systems.
