International Public Policy & Relations Internship

About the role

The AfCFTA Secretariat is offering a structured internship for final‑year university students to gain hands‑on experience in international public policy, international relations, and multilingual document handling. Interns will work in a multicultural environment, supporting the Secretariat’s strategic projects while developing analytical and technical competencies.

Key responsibilities

• Translate working documents between English and French on a variety of policy topics.
• Provide interpretation support during meetings, workshops, and public audiences.
• Assist corporate functions and contribute to projects aligned with the Secretariat’s strategic orientations.
• Help promote AfCFTA initiatives to the public, especially youth audiences.

Required profile

• National of an African Union member state and resident in Ghana.
• Final‑year student enrolled full‑time in a relevant discipline (e.g., public policy, international relations, languages, law).
• Strong academic background and motivation to work in an international organization.

Required skills

• Proficiency in English and French for translation and interpretation.
