Inventory & Systems Controller

About the role

The Inventory & Systems Controller will oversee the receipt, storage, and movement of all food‑related products across our café, bakery and pastry locations in Accra and Tema. You will ensure accurate inventory records, compliance with storage standards, and support the production teams by maintaining up‑to‑date recipe and stock data.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and store supplier deliveries under appropriate ambient, chilled or frozen conditions.
• Apply FIFO and FEFO principles, conduct regular stock counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Visit each café branch to perform physical inventories and verify stock accuracy.
• Maintain clean, organised storage areas and report any poor practices.
• Monitor inventory levels, process daily requisitions and coordinate inter‑branch stock transfers.
• Alert the Purchasing Officer when items reach reorder points.
• Update and maintain inventory, recipe and movement data in the STO (StockTake Online) system.
• Work with bakery, pastry and café teams to reflect approved recipe and portion changes in the system.
• Audit inventory practices, investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management or inventory systems within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of food storage, shelf‑life management and production processes.
• Good understanding of recipes, ingredient usage and food cost calculations.
• Analytical mindset with proven problem‑solving abilities to investigate discrepancies.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with STO (StockTake Online) inventory management system.
