Irrigation Engineer

About the role

Fridoug Limited is seeking a full-time Irrigation Engineer to work on-site in the Ahafo North Region of Ghana. The role focuses on designing and implementing efficient irrigation and water-management solutions for agricultural and landscaping projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct flood risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Evaluate water resources and perform storm‑water management planning.
• Design, model and optimise drainage and irrigation systems using specialised simulation tools.
• Carry out site evaluations and ensure designs comply with environmental and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and manage project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven knowledge of flood risk, water‑resource and storm‑water management.
• Experience in designing and optimising drainage systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with relevant standards, regulations and best practices.
• Effective communication and project‑management skills.
