About the role
An entry‑level management position in the kitchen, responsible for daily objectives, food production, purchasing and sanitation while supporting guest and employee satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain food handling and sanitation standards and oversee production of culinary items.
- Lead shifts, personally prepare food, supervise cooks, and ensure work areas are clean.
- Coordinate with restaurant and banquet teams for service timing and event meals.
- Manage inventory, purchase supplies, and report equipment issues.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years culinary experience, or a 2‑year degree in Culinary Arts/Hotel Management with 2 years experience.
- Ability to supervise staff, handle performance appraisals and training.
Required skills
- Food handling and sanitation knowledge.
- Ability to prepare and cook a variety of foods and create decorative displays.
