Lab Technician – Tamale

About the role

As a Lab Technician at Shalina Diagnostics Ghana, you will deliver analytical laboratory services that support patient care. You will work in a regulated environment, following standard operating procedures and quality assurance measures to ensure reliable test results.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine and special laboratory tests and provide coverage in diagnostic areas when required.
• Perform technical work within acceptable turnaround times according to Shalina Diagnostics SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Document and maintain accurate logs to uphold good laboratory practice.
• Provide high‑standard technical service as part of the health‑care team to facilitate efficient patient care.
• Maintain equipment to required standards and relevant legislation.
• Implement internal Quality Control measures for technical procedures.
• Assist in research, evaluation of new techniques and laboratory audits.

Required profile

• Diploma, Certificate or Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Good standing with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).

Required skills

• Laboratory testing and analysis.
• Implementation of internal Quality Control procedures.
• Equipment maintenance and calibration.
