About the role
Nestlé, the world’s largest food and beverage company, is seeking a Local Sourcing Manager for its Accra office. You will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for locally managed categories, ensuring alignment with Nestlé’s global procurement standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team of Strategic Buyers to define and implement category strategies using Nestlé’s Strategic Sourcing tools and templates.
- Conduct demand, market, category, and supply‑risk analyses to build deep category expertise.
- Plan and execute negotiation events to secure best‑in‑class Total Cost of Ownership contracts.
- Ensure compliance with Nestlé’s Corporate Business Principles, procurement policies, and supplier codes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate category plans into local budgets and price‑planning processes.
- Drive supplier innovation, continuous cost improvement, and manage contract and supplier relationship performance.
- Maintain accurate contract and supplier master data in SAP.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 + years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement.
- Proven track record of delivering competitive advantage through effective sourcing strategies.
- Leadership experience managing teams and driving results.
- Strong negotiation, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Required skills
- SAP contract and master data management.
- Experience with e‑auctions and procurement tools.
