Lubrication Technician – Process Plant

About the role

The Lubrication Technician – Process Plant will ensure all process‑plant equipment is lubricated to required standards, supporting the reliable operation of AngloGold Ashanti’s redeveloped Obuasi Gold Mine.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective lubrication on all process‑plant equipment.
• Maintain total fluid management standards and adhere to the site’s Environmental Management Plan.
• Coordinate inventory, order lubricants, and manage stock locations.
• Drain, clean, fill, and top‑off reservoirs; change filters, breathers, and operate filtration equipment.
• Use manual and automatic dispensing equipment for greasing and re‑lubrication.
• Label and tag reservoirs, equipment, and inventory containers.
• Update scheduling systems, create work orders, and record maintenance activities.
• Conduct field‑level oil analysis (crackle, viscosity, demulsibility, blotter test) and evaluate results for predictive maintenance.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and propose savings projects.
• Report issues to the Reliability Engineer and halt unsafe equipment.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience (minimum 60 months) in industrial lubrication or a related field.
• Familiarity with total fluid management and reliability‑focused maintenance practices.
• Ability to work safely in a mining environment and follow quality‑management principles.
