Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

GBfoods is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of technicians in its Accra and Tema facilities. The role ensures that all maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to production.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coach a team of maintenance technicians, assign tasks and conduct performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and plans to reduce equipment downtime.
• Inspect machinery, diagnose faults, coordinate repairs and oversee replacement of parts.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements and maintain related documentation.
• Monitor spare‑parts inventory and generate reports on maintenance performance and costs.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Attention to detail, problem‑solving mindset and commitment to safety.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in food production.
• Preventive maintenance planning and execution.
• Troubleshooting and equipment repair.
• Understanding of safety regulations and compliance procedures.
• Use of maintenance management or project‑management software.
