Medical Doctor

About the role

Christian Medical Centre is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Medical Doctor to join its multidisciplinary team in Accra. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care, diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, and support the Centre’s preventive health initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient examinations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and ensure appropriate follow‑up care.
• Order, interpret, and integrate laboratory and diagnostic test results into clinical decisions.
• Provide counseling on preventive health, participate in community health screenings, and contribute to health education outreach.
• Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Medical Doctor with an accredited degree, completed internship/housemanship, and a valid license to practice.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for clear explanation of conditions and empathetic patient counseling.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, confidentiality, and adherence to clinical guidelines.
• Willingness to work in a faith‑informed environment that respects all patients.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for common medical, maternal, and preventive health conditions.
