About the role

The private facility located near Achimota, Tantra Hill, is seeking a Medicine Counter Assistant (MCA) to support its pharmacy operations. The role involves assisting customers, handling medicine sales, and ensuring smooth counter activities in a fast‑paced environment. The successful candidate will work closely with pharmacists and other support staff to ensure timely service and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicine counter, providing accurate information and processing sales.
• Maintain stock levels, organise medicines, and ensure proper labeling.
• Operate the computer system for prescription entry, inventory updates and transaction recording.
• Support pharmacy staff with routine tasks and uphold hygiene and safety standards.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines.

Required profile

• Valid MCA (Medicine Counter Assistant) certificate.
• Residency within Taifa, Tantra Hill, Achimota or Pokuase.
• Friendly, neat appearance and customer‑oriented attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in pharmacy support, hospital assistance or retail medicine sales is an advantage.

Required skills

• Computer literacy for handling pharmacy software and basic office applications.
