Microsoft Excel Expert

About the role

The Microsoft Excel Expert will work full‑time in a hybrid capacity, based in Accra, designing and maintaining advanced Excel solutions that support business decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain advanced Excel models that support business decision‑making.
• Create interactive dashboards and reports, and develop reusable templates.
• Clean, transform and analyse data using complex formulas, pivot tables and look‑ups.
• Integrate Excel workbooks with other tools and cloud platforms where required.
• Collaborate with consultants and business stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into practical spreadsheets.
• Document best practices, train team members and clients, and optimise existing spreadsheets for performance and accuracy.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex Excel models clearly.
• Understanding of business processes to translate operational workflows into structured spreadsheets.
• Consulting experience to gather requirements and propose data‑driven solutions.
• Awareness of solution architecture and basic cloud‑computing concepts for file storage and sharing.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a hybrid setting.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, charts, data validation, conditional formatting, macros).
• Experience with VBA programming for automation.
• Proficiency with pivot tables and lookup functions.
• Familiarity with integrating Excel files with cloud platforms.
• Background in data analysis, financial modelling or operational analytics.
