Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

About the role

UNICEF Ghana is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to lead the design, implementation and reporting of M&E activities that support the organization’s mission to improve children’s lives. The role will work closely with country office staff, national partners and the regional office to ensure data‑driven decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Integrated Monitoring, Evaluation & Research Planning (IMEP) framework and align it with strategic priorities.
• Collect, analyse and report on programme data, including national household surveys such as DHS.
• Design and conduct evaluations, ensuring quality processes and timely dissemination of findings.
• Strengthen the M&E capacity of UNICEF staff and national partners through training and technical support.
• Facilitate communication and partnership with UN Country Team, national stakeholders and the international community.

Required profile

• University degree relevant to monitoring, evaluation, statistics or a related field.
• Professional experience in data collection, statistical analysis and programme monitoring.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multiple partners and to produce clear, actionable reports.
