About the role
We are looking for an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to deliver break‑and‑fix services for enterprise infrastructure in Ghana. This freelance, on‑call position requires diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, network and virtualization incidents while providing professional customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote break‑and‑fix support for networking and infrastructure incidents.
- Deploy, configure and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism) and perform upgrades, patching and lifecycle tasks.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V) and network issues, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching.
- Implement and support backup and disaster‑recovery solutions and respond to critical incidents within agreed response times.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking or IT support engineering.
- Valid CCNA certification; Nutanix certification (NCP) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English and ability to work calmly during critical incidents.
Required skills
- Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism)
- VMware and/or Hyper‑V
- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching
- Backup and disaster‑recovery solutions
- Scripting with PowerShell and/or Python
