Operations Engineer – Remote, $15/hr

About the role

We are seeking a remote Operations Engineer to design and develop multi‑agent benchmark tasks focused on planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. This short‑term contract (4 weeks) offers 20‑40 hours per week with a $15/hour rate.

Key responsibilities

• Design realistic operational scenarios such as logistics, project management, incident response, and capacity planning.
• Build constraint‑rich problem statements with multiple dependencies and variables.
• Develop Python scripts to evaluate feasibility, completeness, and optimality of tasks.
• Decompose complex problems into structured sub‑tasks for multi‑agent systems.
• Model scenarios with timelines, dependencies, and resource constraints.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve task quality, coverage, and evaluation rigor.

Required profile

• Strong experience in operations, project management, logistics, or supply chain.
• Deep understanding of constraints, dependencies, and scheduling logic.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Python programming for validation and verification scripting.
• Docker for containerized development.
• Optimization techniques such as linear programming, constraint satisfaction, and scheduling algorithms.
• Background in operations research.
• Experience with simulation or modeling tools.
• Familiarity with AI planning systems or automated reasoning.
• Experience with AI benchmark suites (e.g., SWE‑bench, Terminal‑bench).
