Painter for Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Painter will support the hotel’s facilities team by applying paint, stain and other finishes to walls, ceilings, furniture and other surfaces across the property. This role ensures all surfaces are prepared, finished and protected to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, primers or sealers using brushes, rollers or spray guns.
• Prepare surfaces by stripping, sanding, wire‑brushing, burning or abrasive blasting.
• Cover and protect areas during painting and post appropriate signage.
• Clean, store and maintain painting tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify colors or finishes as needed.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school education.
• At least 1 year of related painting or finishing experience.
• Ability to work at heights, bend, twist, lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.
• Commitment to follow safety policies and complete required training.

Required skills

• Paint application using brushes, rollers and spray guns.
• Surface preparation techniques such as sanding, stripping and abrasive blasting.
• Use of primers, sealers and protective coatings.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment.
