Paramedic / Emergency Medical Technician

About the role

Halcome Management Services is seeking a qualified Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician to join the new Bank Hospital in Accra. You will respond to emergency calls, provide on‑site medical care, and transport patients safely to the appropriate facility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate emergency response teams.
• Assess patient injuries, initiate appropriate medical procedures, and provide advanced pre‑hospital care.
• Administer medication, pain relief, intravenous infusions, and wound dressings.
• Operate life‑support equipment such as bag‑valve‑mask resuscitators, external defibrillators, and ECG monitors.
• Drive the ambulance to the scene and en route to the hospital while monitoring patient condition.
• Document patient status, treatments, and hand‑over information to receiving physicians.
• Maintain and decontaminate the ambulance and medical equipment.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in paramedical science, associate degree, or equivalent medical training.
• Minimum one year of paramedic experience.
• Valid EMT‑P certification/EMS license and CPR certification.
• Emergency response training (e.g., ALS) and a clean driving record.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High level of fitness, stamina, and physical agility.
• Availability to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
