Plumber - Factory Maintenance

About the role

KEDA Ghana Ceramics Company Limited is hiring a Plumber for its factory in Takoradi, Ghana. The Plumber installs, maintains and repairs the water supply, drainage and sanitation systems so that production runs smoothly and the workplace stays safe. The role reports to the Admin Manager or Engineering Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain water supply, drainage and sanitation systems across the factory, including workshops, offices and employee facilities.
• Respond quickly to plumbing emergencies, leaks and blockages to minimise production downtime.
• Inspect plumbing systems regularly and carry out preventive maintenance.
• Work with the maintenance team on projects such as pipe replacement, fixture installation and system upgrades.
• Keep plumbing tools and equipment properly stored and maintained.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs and materials used.
• Follow health, safety and environmental regulations in all plumbing work.
• Help train junior maintenance staff on plumbing best practices, safety procedures and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of work experience in plumbing; proven experience in an industrial or factory setting is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings and schematics.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in industrial settings.

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, tools and repair techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working conditions and what we offer

• On-site factory work, with exposure to high temperatures and machinery, and possible standing, bending and lifting of heavy equipment.
• Shift work or emergency call-outs may be required.
