About the role

The Preschool Head will lead the early childhood department of a well‑established school in Accra, overseeing curriculum delivery, teacher performance, and child development outcomes. This senior position reports directly to senior school management and plays a pivotal role in shaping the learning environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the preschool department, setting strategic goals and daily operational plans.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate preschool teachers to ensure high‑quality instruction.
• Monitor and support the implementation of the curriculum, aligning it with developmental standards.
• Track children’s progress and collaborate with staff to address individual learning needs.
• Coordinate parent engagement activities and communication channels.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards within the preschool setting.

Required profile

• Degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Professional teaching qualification.
• Minimum four years of experience in early childhood education, with leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage classroom environments.
