Preschool Teacher for KG1

About the role

Petite Elise Preschool is seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to design and deliver age‑appropriate learning experiences for KG1 children. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Accra and focuses on fostering curiosity, resilience, and independence in young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate engaging lessons that support learning through play and exploration.
• Support children’s social and emotional development and maintain a safe classroom environment.
• Observe, document, and communicate children’s progress to families regularly.
• Collaborate with colleagues on classroom activities and school events while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education with knowledge of child development.
• Experience working with kindergarten‑aged children in a structured classroom or childcare setting.
• Clear, empathetic communication skills for interacting with children, families, and staff.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.
• Patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach to support children’s growth.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive classroom.
• Basic first aid and child safety training or willingness to obtain certification.
