About the role
The Procurement Intern will support ACET’s procurement function across institutional and donor‑funded activities, working under the supervision of the Procurement Specialist. The role involves coordinating procurement activities, maintaining records, and assisting with tendering and contract administration.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and process procurement requests, prepare purchase orders and work orders, and ensure all documentation is complete.
- Coordinate supplier invitations, manage bid receipt, and maintain procurement records.
- Support the preparation of solicitation and tender documents using ACET templates.
- Assist evaluation panels, prepare evaluation materials, and draft award notifications.
- Maintain the contract register, monitor contract deliverables, and support contract close‑out.
- Update procurement trackers, prepare activity reports, and compile documentation for audits.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Law, Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Relevant procurement experience (minimum 1‑3 years depending on education level).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and integrity.
Required skills
- Use of procurement software (InSoft) for document upload and tracking.
- Preparation of procurement and contract documents using approved templates.
