Professor of Computing and Information Systems

About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) invites applications for a full‑time Professor position within its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The role is open to candidates wishing to join one of the departments of Mobile and Pervasive Computing, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or General Studies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Lead and contribute to research programmes, securing publications in recognized journals.
• Engage in community service and outreach activities aligned with the university’s mission.
• Participate in faculty development, curriculum design, and academic governance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Current appointment as Professor at a recognized university, or at least three years as Associate Professor with a minimum of fifteen peer‑reviewed journal publications.
• Ability to provide three professional referees.
