Regional Director

About the role

The Regional Director will lead the growth and development of CABI West Africa, building on the organisation’s strategic goals and business plan. Reporting to the Executive Director, the role is responsible for enhancing CABI’s reputation with governments, funding bodies, partners and client communities across the West Africa region.

Key responsibilities

• Represent CABI to external stakeholders, including governments of Ghana and other West African member countries, donors and partners.
• Work closely with the Project Management Office to ensure high‑quality delivery of projects.
• Lead the regional operation, overseeing physical assets and the Regional Operations & Infrastructure team.
• Drive business development and promote the full range of CABI’s offerings to member countries.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams and report to the Executive Director and the Executive Management Team.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑management experience in a regional or multi‑country context.
• Strong track record of building relationships with government agencies, donors and development partners.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage assets and oversee operational functions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to raise organisational visibility.
