Regional Head of Markets, SSA

About the role

The Regional Head of Markets, SSA will drive growth initiatives across Sub‑Saharan Africa, aligning resources, teams and strategies with both direct and indirect channels. You will partner with governments, academic institutions, and key stakeholders to deliver revenue‑generating marketing campaigns and enhance customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of regional growth priorities and strategies.
• Ensure strong alignment with channels, ATPs, organizations, government bodies, and academic partners.
• Oversee revenue‑generating marketing campaigns, communications, customer care, and regional summits.
• Manage partnerships, agreements and deals with global executive council members, key accounts and other regional stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA preferred.
• 7‑10 years of management experience in a global, multi‑market environment.
• Proven success building programmatic initiatives across geographically dispersed teams or virtual communities.
• Track record in channel, B2B management and business‑plan development, integrating market planning across diverse areas.
• Experience developing partnerships and agreements; B2C and B2B exposure is desirable.
• Strong problem‑solving, business judgment and ability to present to senior executives.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
