Relationship Manager - Trade Sales

About the role

The Relationship Manager – Trade Sales will drive acquisition, origination, structuring, execution and growth of Structured Trade & Commodity Finance solutions. You will identify client opportunities, assess risks, obtain credit approval and manage relationships throughout the deal lifecycle while meeting revenue, asset and portfolio quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new Structured Trade & Commodity Finance clients across targeted industry sectors.
• Develop and execute proactive sales and origination strategies, building referral networks with internal divisions.
• Maintain executive‑level relationships with business owners, CFOs and financial managers, providing trusted advisory on trade and working capital solutions.
• Structure tailored trade finance solutions such as Purchase Order Finance, Inventory Finance, Receivables Finance, In‑Transit Finance and various Letter of Credit structures.
• Perform detailed financial statement analysis, cash‑flow modelling, stress testing and prepare credit applications for committee approval.
• Ensure compliance with credit policy, regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks, managing problem accounts proactively.
• Coordinate deal implementation with Credit, Legal, Operations and Risk teams to drive transactions through approval and fulfilment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in structured trade and commodity finance.
• Strong client relationship management and business development capabilities.
• Ability to analyse commercial transactions and design risk‑mitigation structures.
• Solid understanding of credit, legal and regulatory requirements in trade finance.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting recommendations to senior committees.
