Remote Rust Software Engineer – AI Dataset Project

About the role

We are building large‑language‑model (LLM) evaluation and training datasets that simulate realistic software‑engineering problems. As a Remote Rust Software Engineer you will help create verifiable SWE tasks from public GitHub histories and assess LLM performance on real code.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and triage GitHub issues across trending open‑source libraries.
• Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment provisioning.
• Evaluate unit‑test coverage and overall code quality.
• Modify and run codebases locally to benchmark LLM bug‑fixing capabilities.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to select challenging repositories and issues.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers on project tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of professional software‑engineering experience.
• Tech‑lead level competence with complex codebases.
• Strong familiarity with high‑quality public GitHub repositories.
• Experience contributing to or evaluating open‑source projects is a plus.

Required skills

• Rust programming language.
• Git version control.
• Docker containerization.
• GitHub repository navigation.
