Retail Salesperson – Technology Products

About the role

The Salesperson will be the front‑line representative of Dougs Technologies in its Mankessim store. You will greet customers, assess their technology needs and recommend suitable laptops, smartphones, accessories, repair services and ICT solutions. This is a full‑time, on‑site position focused on delivering excellent customer service while contributing to store revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, listen to their requirements and suggest appropriate technology products and services.
• Demonstrate product features, explain specifications and provide accurate pricing and quotations.
• Process sales transactions using the point‑of‑sale system and maintain up‑to‑date inventory records.
• Keep product displays organized and visually appealing.
• Follow up with customers after purchase, handle basic inquiries and coordinate service requests.
• Collaborate with technical staff to ensure customers receive the right support and solutions.
• Work towards and achieve individual sales targets, contributing to overall store performance.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service and communication skills, able to explain technical concepts in simple terms.
• Basic knowledge of computers, smartphones, accessories and ICT solutions, with a willingness to learn product updates.
• Proven sales, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities, preferably with experience meeting sales targets.
• Ability to use point‑of‑sale systems and maintain accurate transaction and inventory records.
• Organised, able to manage multiple customers and tasks in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Integrity, reliability and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Previous experience in retail, technology sales or other customer‑facing roles is an advantage.
• Secondary education or higher; additional training in sales or ICT is beneficial.
