Rock Tools Operational Field Support Technician

About the role

Sandvik is looking for a proactive Rock Tools Operational Field Support Technician to drive product and customer‑service activities across mining sites in Ghana. You will act as a key field driver, implementing on‑site tactics that sustain and grow the business from both technical and service perspectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers and sales teams with troubleshooting and process improvements.
• Support delivery of training for internal and external users and develop training materials.
• Test and validate R&D designs for rock tools used in mining applications.
• Collaborate with Product Application & Services Specialists and Product Line Development teams to improve product performance.
• Provide on‑site technical consulting to optimise drilling operations.
• Prepare technical reports and manage field tools.
• Lead carbide recycling initiatives and coach less‑experienced team members.

Required profile

• Proactive attitude with a focus on customer service.
• Experience supporting technical troubleshooting and process improvement in a mining environment.
• Ability to deliver training and create clear technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with sales, product, and engineering teams.
