Sales Account Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Account Manager to develop and manage strategic relationships with key retail, wholesale and distribution customers in Ghana. The role focuses on driving sales growth, maximizing profitability and ensuring high customer satisfaction through long‑term partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute account plans for assigned key customers.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, promotions and trade terms.
• Build strong relationships with decision‑makers within customer organisations.
• Monitor customer performance, sales trends and market opportunities.
• Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, finance and customer service to ensure excellent account management.
• Manage promotional activities and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Resolve customer issues and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Prepare regular sales forecasts and account performance reports.
• Identify opportunities for new product listings and business expansion.
• Follow payment collections and maintain healthy ageing reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG or consumer goods.
• Proven experience managing modern trade and key accounts.
• Strong negotiation, commercial and financial acumen.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP/CRM systems.
