Sales Officer

About the role

The Sales Officer will drive revenue growth for a leading Ghanaian manufacturing firm that supplies building solutions. You will generate leads, build strong relationships with contractors, distributors and property owners, and act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across all product lines.
  • Develop and present tailored sales proposals and quotations.
  • Provide product recommendations, educate customers on materials, installation processes and warranties.
  • Maintain excellent customer service, follow‑up on inquiries, quotations and deliveries.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
  • Recommend pricing and promotional tactics to maximise revenue.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, networking events and business meetings.
  • Collaborate with production, logistics and operations teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and performance updates for management.

Required profile

  • HND, Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
  • Proven sales experience in construction or building‑materials sector (preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal English.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
